He was a Professor of Law at his alma mater as well as a criminal defense lawyer, handling 8 death penalty jury trials and a total of 25 murder trials. He was also an Administrative Law Judge for 10 years, hearing cases involving disability applications for the Sacramento County Employees Retirement System before joining Wilcoxen Callaham.
