About William
William R. Ponall is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Criminal Appellate Law. Prior to entering private practice, he was a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He has extensive experience handling State and Federal criminal appeals and post conviction matters. He also has significant experience litigating against the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in the appellate courts on issues concerning driver's license suspensions and revocations.
Mr. Ponall has had three articles, addressing both substantive criminal law and criminal appeals, published in The Florida Defender, a magazine produced by the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Ponall graduated with honors from the University of Florida and the University Of Florida College of Law. He is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Orange County Bar, and the Orange County Bar Appellate Practice Committee.
