He earned his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1971 with Highest Distinction. Mr. Wray was admitted to Tennessee State and Federal Courts in 1974 following his graduation from University of Tennessee in 1973 and to the U. S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit in 1994. Mr. Wray was a partner with Hunter, Smith & Davis, LLP for over 25 years and has been in sole practice since 2005. Professional memberships include Kingsport Tennessee Bar Association (past President), Knoxville Tennessee Bar Association, Million Dollar Advocates Forum, charter member of TN Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators, Tennessee Association for Justice, Mid-South Super Lawyers, “Fellowâ€ï¿½ in the Tennessee Bar Foundation, as well as being named one of “The Best Lawyersâ€ï¿½, Tri Cities, TN.
