About A.
Mr. Gregory helped found the law firm of Harris, Karstaedt, Jamison & Powers, P.C. in 1994. He currently oversees the firm's appellate department and has consistently utilized his extensive experience to pursue appellate and original proceedings in the Colorado state and Federal appellate courts. In addition, Mr. Gregory has an active practice in defending insurers against bad faith actions and representing insurers in insurance coverage matters.
From 1980 to 1987, Mr. Gregory was employed at the Colorado Court of Appeals. After clerking for an appellate court judge, he joined the Court's central staff as a staff attorney. In 1984, he became Chief Staff Attorney for the Court of Appeals. In this capacity, he authored a number appellate court opinions and developed internal procedures to be used by the Court. He was also responsible for reviewing all files processed by the Court and all opinions to be issued by the Court.
In 1987, Mr. Gregory joined a large insurance defense firm and was involved in civil litigation focusing on complex commercial litigation. His practice combined his extensive research and appellate expertise with an active trial practice. Beginning in 1990, his practice focused principally on insurance coverage issues and defense of insurers in insurance coverage litigation. During this time, he represented numerous clients before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court.
