I have had many cases that made an impact on my clients and myself. Many of my cases involve families that are grieving the loss of a loved one. My goal is to find compensation and closure for those families, helping them get through a difficult time in their lives.

I focus on my clients and their needs. It is important to always be professional but personable to the client, letting that person know that this is not "just another case" to me. Being a lawyer and serving my clients is a blessing and one that I enjoy every day.

There have been many times I have provided a unique benefit to a client because I was familiar with the other party or their attorney. My practice has grown to encompass the entire state of Alabama and parts of Mississippi, so I have developed relationships and friendships all of the state.

A typical phone consultation would include some information gathering so I can learn about the case. I also try to educate the client on the course of litigation, the timeframe, expectations, and what their involvement will be. If possible, I also like to discuss issues of medical treatment, insurance coverage, corporate defendants, and how these factors play a role in their case.

I always try to gather all of the necessary names, dates of birth, dates of death, medical treatment dates, family members, witnesses, and medical providers. Dates of death or dates of medical treatment are important for determining when a statute of limitations might expire. Family members should also be able to determine who may have power of attorney or legal guardianship over the injured person. These facts will help us speed up the initial steps of the case.

I can honestly say that only a handful of lawyers in this state actively work on nursing home neglect cases. While that is a large part of my practice, I have also worked heavily in auto accidents, trucking accidents, and product liability. I have enjoyed each of these

I know that emotional closure is important to my clients and families. While my job is to obtain compensation for their injury or loss, I hope that my services can help them heal and move forward with their lives.

If I am not working, I am spending time with my family, traveling, or participating in volunteer work with our church.

I enjoy serving as a deacon in my church, teaching Sunday School, and singing in our church choir. I am also a member of the Alabama National Guard as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General corps.
