About Adrienne

Adrienne Dell has been practicing criminal law for over 22 years. A transplant from Los Angeles, Adrienne spent three years in the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office and three years as a sole practitioner before relocating her practice to Santa Clara County.

Since the opening of her law offices in San Jose, Adrienne has worked on exclusively adult and juvenile criminal matters. Her practice has always been very diverse from serious and violent felonies, such as murder, assault and child molest, to drug charges, driving under the influence and domestic violence. She has a reputation of vigorous and excellent advocacy among colleagues, prosecutors and the judiciary.

Adrienne has worked on such noteworthy cases as the "Lady in the Cage" where a mentally ill woman was kept in isolation by family members, and the "Nuestra Familia" death penalty case where ultimately five alleged gang members were tried for eleven murders over a fifteen month period.

Adrienne and Victor Vertner became partners nine years ago. The partnership has been very successful as both Adrienne and Victor strive for superior representation of their clients. Again, the firm's reputation is one of excellence. Both Adrienne and Victor are extremely well versed in the various issues of law that arise in the practice of criminal defense. Both safeguard their client's rights and needs by keeping open lines of communication with clients and their families.

While in Los Angeles, she worked with Howard Weitzman as his law clerk on a number of federal matters including the Grandma Mafia and John DeLorean cases. She also worked at the law firm of Brodey & Price as a law clerk and later as a lawyer on several death penalty cases, including defending two men accused of killing police officers in Los Angeles County.

At the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, Adrienne handled a wide variety of criminal matters, including misdemeanors, felonies, including serious and violent, as well as juvenile matters. After several years of feeling that her clients were not getting sufficient individual attention, Adrienne opened her own law firm.

Adrienne has enormous success in the courtroom, both as a trial attorney and solution maker. She has focused solely on the defense of those accused of crimes. Her practice included a great range of criminal matters including a capital trial through penalty phase and a capital appeal as well as hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases for both adults and juveniles. The advantage of working in the private sector was a more limited case load so that all necessary work could be completed with excellence.
