He is a member of the Scott County and Rock Island County Bar Association, Iowa and Illinois Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa, as well as his Juris Doctorate from the U of I College of Law, graduating with Honors in 2000.
