About Alexander
Alexander A. Orlow has been admitted to the practice of law for almost 50 years. He attended Queens College where he majored in political science and received a B.A. in 1955. He continued his studies at Columbia Law School and where he received a J.D. degree in 1958. After Law school he worked at various law firms before starting his own law firm in 1966. Initially he had a general practice, including all phases of the law. After some years of this, he started concentrating exclusively on personal injury. He served as an American Arbitration Association Uninsured Motorist Arbitrator and No-Fault Arbitrator. He also served as a New York City Administrative Law Judge in the Parking Violations Bureau.
In 1993, Alexander A. Orlow together with his daughter, Jodi Orlow, Esq. formed the firm Orlow and Orlow, P.C. Since then he is the managing attorney of the firm, handling personal injury and various other civil litigation matters. He currently keeps abreast of his field by attending seminars on the latest developments and has been a Continuing Legal Education Lecturer on trial preparation for automobile accidents.
Besides practicing law, Mr. Orlow is active in multiple legal organizations. He is one of the founders of the Brandeis Association, the second largest bar association in Queens County, made up of Jewish lawyers and judges. He has served as its treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for many years. He is an active member of the Queens County Bar Association where he serves as a member of the Supreme Court Committee.
His intention is to serve his clients to the best of his ability, which he has accomplished for years. He has built his clientele exclusively from referrals from former and present clients. His philosophy is that if you are successful for your clients, they will come back to you and refer their friends and family. This has been the secret of his success.
