With a distinguished career as a federal prosecutor and military officer, Alex brings extensive experience in high-stakes litigation, having completed 17 federal jury trials. He is dedicated to advocating for justice, particularly in complex criminal and civil cases, and has a proven track record in both the courtroom and in legal leadership. Prior to joining Singleton Schreiber, Alexander served as a Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Albuquerque where he led a team of prosecutors handling violent crime cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, kidnapping, and firearms offenses. He also focused on Indian Country crimes, working to improve public safety in New Mexicoโs Native communities. Alex forged deep relationships with Tribal leaders and law enforcement, and helped the Department of Justice to increase training, strengthen inter-governmental relationships, and improve the tempo and quality of investigations and prosecutions of crimes with a focus on Mission and Murdered Indigenous Persons and sexual assault cases. Prior to his appointment as a Supervisor, Alex personally prosecuted nearly 200 federal felony cases, including successful outcomes in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Alexโs military experience further complements his legal expertise.
