Attorney Christopher Miller was born in Hollywood, Florida, in 1971. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to Beaver, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Beaver Area High School in 1989. He earned his BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993, and subsequently a J.D. in 1996 from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. While attending law school, he served as the President of the Student Bar Association and was the recipient of the Dean Arthur Weeks Outstanding Service Award. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Miller initially worked for a civil defense firm, DeFalice & Douglas, P.C., for the first three years of his career. This experience helped him to gain valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate cases. Thereafter, the next nine years of his career were spent working for Edgar Snyder & Associates, LLC, where he focused his practice on representing injured victims. Mr. Miller most recently worked for Berger and Green, P.C., for two years, where he also represented people injured in accidents. In December 2011, Mr. Miller joined forces with attorney Brian DelVecchio, forming the law firm of DelVecchio & Miller, LLC. Their main objective is to advocate for victims’ rights, focusing exclusively on personal injury cases. Mr. Miller has focused his practice on representing clients who have been seriously injured as a result of others’ carelessness and negligence. In addition to handling cases in most counties throughout western Pennsylvania, he has also argued appellate cases before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court on behalf of injured clients. Mr. Miller is also licensed to practice law in New Jersey. “I take great pride in representing people who have been seriously injured as a result of someone else’s carelessness. Pennsylvania Rising Stars, a division of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, represent the top 2.5 percent of the best up-and­-coming attorneys who are age 40 or younger, or practicing 10 years or less in Pennsylvania. Mr. Miller has also been named to Super Lawyers for 2013 through 2019. The Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than five percent of attorneys in each state. Mr. Miller is active within the community, serving as the former chairman for the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association’s annual 5K race, which benefits the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers, who are a local, nonprofit organization comprised of wheelchair athletes. He has been involved with Presents for Patients high school, as well as judging high school and law school moot court competitions.

Mike’s legal practice focuses solely on representing injured workers who have either been denied workers’ compensation benefits, are being forced to return to work while not physically able, or are receiving documents from their employer/insurance carrier, threatening to stop workers’ compensation benefits. Consistent with Scanlon & Wojton’s core philosophies, Mike will handle your workers’ compensation claim from start-to-finish. He makes himself readily available to his clients in order to answer any questions that they may have regarding their case. Mike attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude. He was a four-year letter winner on the University’s baseball team, being named a team captain during his senior season. Mike then joined Matt and Tim at Duquesne University school of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence For the Future Award in legal research and writing. Following graduation from Duquesne Law, Mike joined a law firm in downtown Pittsburgh, representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters. It is this experience that gives Mike a unique perspective when representing injured workers.
