Mr. Hornsby focuses his practice on several aspects of patent matters, including patent application preparation and prosecution, client counseling, opinions, and general intellectual property advice. Mr. Hornsby is experienced in a wide range of technologies including electrical devices, mechanical devices, computer hardware and software, telecommunications systems, computer networks, power systems, cable television systems, speech recognition systems, digital video compression systems, and medical devices. Mr. Hornsby is also a former patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he examined patent applications in the field of data communications, including radio-frequency identification technology and remote control systems. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hornsby worked as a telecommunications engineer with Sprint Corporation where he worked with call processing and transport systems utilized in Sprint's long-distance telecommunications network.
