About Andrew
We believe that clients who know and understand the law and legal process are better equipped to handle their cases. To this end, we have published free legal guides for people injured in Texas, whether in a car accident, because of a doctor’s mistake, or some other accident. If you are interested in keeping up with the latest trends and changes in Texas litigation, specifically as it relates to personal injury (car accidents, medical malpractice, etc) we have started a legal blog you may want to read

Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
-Many of our clients don’t have health insurance. One such client was going to the doctor for almost two years and getting into debt, but not getting any closer to a cure, because the doctor’s practice area wasn’t going to solve her problem. She came to us shortly before the statute of limitations was to expire and with the defense insurance company not believing she was injured and not offering her much compensation. We were able to get financing so that she could get an MRI and see the right doctors. As a result, she has a better knowledge of what’s wrong, what the right course to treat her will be, and the insurance company has increased their offer significantly.
How did you build a successful practice?
-Our practice was built by great client service and hard work. Nothing fancy or tricky – we simply work harder than the insurance company, learn our craft constantly through reading the latest materials on trial presentation, and work with our clients to get the results they deserve.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
-We wrote a whole book on what clients should look for in a lawyer and it would take too long to tell you in one paragraph, but the book is free on our website.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
-Local knowledge can be very important. First, out-of-state attorney’s don’t know the limitations period and Texas tort reform. Second, even if they are in-state, they won‘t generally know how juries in Travis or Williamson county treat auto accident cases – and both counties are very different. Lastly, it doesn’t hurt to have appeared before the judge who is trying the case and have a knowledge of their habits and preferences.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
-In a free consultation, whether in person or phone, we get all the details of the case and the injuries and the effect of the injuries. We provide free advice on handling the property damage claim (we handle it free if we take on the case), treating with doctors, etc.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
-We have an intake sheet we use in every case – the basic information is the client’s contact information, the defendant’s contact information, including insurance, witnesses, accident description, doctors seen.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
-We are different in the following ways : reduced fees for veterans with honorable discharge or active duty, reduced fees for drunk driving victims, reduced fees for bereaved clients (wrongful death), free CD and book on handling an accident claim, free consultation, you always have a lawyer on your case you can talk to, not a paralegal, free assistance with the property damage claim, experience trying cases through to verdict, we don’t take on thousands of cases every year but work closely with fewer clients at a time.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
-We can’t heal our clients, we can only get them the compensation they are entitled to under the law. The most rewarding aspect of the job is helping the little guy (out client) standing up to the insurance industry and their minions.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
-Personally, my interests are in my family, running and exercise, tennis, and web development.
Are you involved in your community?
-We provide some pro-bono services to members of our community (not personal injury work).
Contingent Fees You won't pay any legal fees or even costs until we make a recovery for you. Free Consultation There's never a fee to speak to us over the phone or in person.

Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Every year, we have been able to obtain one or more settlements from the insurance company in excess of the policy limits. This takes some luck and skill, and our best result to-date is having an insurance company pay our client $4,000,000 when they only had a $100,000 policy.
How did you build a successful practice?
Hard work and dedication to our clients. Since we tend to take on more serious injury cases, word-of-mouth from doing good work and getting good results has been our key.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Make sure the lawyer has experience because experience matters, a lot. Make sure the lawyer is responsive - when you call, will you be able to reach him or her? If they are busy, will they call you back the same day? Are you able to speak to your lawyer or just their secretary or paralegal?
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge helps when picking a jury, so that's when it becomes relevant. We have had success throughout Texas.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Our free consultation is less about providing information than it is about gathering information from the potential client to see if we can help them and whether we would be a good fit for the client.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
We will spend as much time with you as needed which can be from five minutes to an hour. The primary information needed on a phone consultation would be information about the incident, liability of the other party, insurance coverage available, and injuries.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Several things: a lot of experience; we actually try cases in front of juries and don't just settle them; we have more excess policy settlements than most; we have two verdicts in the top 100 in Texas for different years; we are responsive to our clients; and we don't take on too many clients and cases.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping people
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Web development, reading, video games, and playing guitar.
Are you involved in your community?
We support our local community in a number of ways, including donations for bicycle helmets for kids, feeding the hungry, and other charitable causes.
