About Anthony
Anthony G. Gorski has spent nearly two decades focusing his practice on environmental, natural resources, land use and administrative law. He provides advice and counsel to private parties, county and municipal governments and other governmental entities on matters involving environmental compliance, Critical Area and wetlands regulation, hazardous and solid waste management, Brownfields Redevelopment and Voluntary Cleanup Program issues, environmental permitting and related litigation and general land use law including planning, annexation, rezoning, Development Rights and Responsibilities Agreements and water and sewer capacity allocation. In addition to advice and compliance counseling, Tony represents clients in State and federal courts and administrative forums, including both trial and appellate advocacy.
Prior to joining Rich and Henderson, Tony served as an Assistant Attorney General from 1991 to 1997 representing the Maryland Department of the Environment's solid waste, oil control, water pollution and hazardous waste programs. Since 1997, he has been in private practice in Annapolis, continuing to focus his efforts in the environmental and land use fields.
Tony received his B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Management from Frostburg University in 1986 and his J.D. and Master of Environmental Law, cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 1990. He is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, and before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
In addition to his law practice, he has also taught environmental law and business law courses at Johns Hopkins University, Whiting School of Engineering and Stevenson University. Tony is an active speaker in numerous legal education seminars and courses and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and the Queen Anne's County Bar Association.
