Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I file many cases per year, using Ch. 7 and Ch. 13 of the bankruptcy code, that will often stop a foreclosure of a home or a levy or repossession of personal property, such as a vehicle.
How did you build a successful practice?
I've spent 20 years representing clients while keeping updated on changes to bankruptcy law by being active in local bar associations.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A client should look for an attorney that they feel comfortable speaking with and who has the years of experience to indicate that you are provided with the best possible advice and guidance.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Bankruptcy law is very "local specific". The process here in the western part of Pennsylvania can be vastly different than 30 minutes away in Ohio.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I offer free consultations over the phone and will go over all of the fees and costs and the likely outcome of your case based on your facts and circumstances (with an emphasis on assets and income).
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
I need to know what your household size is (married/kids under 18, etc.) and your income and assets, such as the equity in a home , if applicable.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Some of my colleagues are very good also, but I offer a fair total fee, free consultations, face to face meetings with me personally or remote meetings (by request), online payments and payment plans.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I love being able to help someone in a time of need and try to make a personal connection with each client.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I enjoy spending time with my family mostly and travel.
Are you involved in your community?
I am very involved in my local bar association and Inns of Court as well as being a sponsor and coach for our local youth baseball teams.
