About Anthony

Anthony D. Sutton received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1998. He graduated from New York University in 1993 with a degree in political science. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Sutton served on the executive staff of Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal.

Before joining Jacobs, Grudberg, Belt, Dow & Katz, P.C., Mr. Sutton practiced law with firms in Stamford and Bridgeport, primarily in the area of civil litigation. Mr. Sutton has served as counsel for the Seymour Water Pollution Control Authority and is a former member of the Stamford Board of Assessment Appeals. Mr. Sutton is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the New Haven County Bar Association.

Mr. Sutton primarily practices in the areas of personal injury litigation and criminal defense. He has represented individuals injured in car accidents and fall down incidents occurring in various locations, including supermarkets, drug stores and parking lots and due to defective stairs and elevators. Mr. Sutton has prepared and presented several successful applications to the Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles. He has also represented residential rental property owners in housing code violation cases. Mr. Sutton's criminal practice involves the defense of individuals accused of driving while intoxicated (DWI), drug possession and sale, breach of peace and various other charges.
