Kim Smith has been advocating for injured workers in Texas since 2000. After earning her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, she began her career in Workers’ Compensation law, eventually managing her own firm. In 2013, she merged her practice with Bailey & Galyen, where she now leads the Workers’ Compensation Department in the Arlington office. A proud mother of six, Kim balances her passion for family with her dedication to protecting the rights of injured workers across Texas.

I am licensed to practice law in the United States Supreme Court, the State of Texas, both the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas Federal Courts. I have represented well over 10,000 bankruptcies since 2003. I have worked out over 5000 IRS tax problems since 2003. I have also represented clients with loan modifications on their homes as well as deed's in lieu of foreclosure, short sales, and the rescinding of foreclosures. There are many alternatives to bankruptcy which my law firm has dealt with as well including credit card problem negotiation, offer-in-compromise and tax installment agreement. My goal is to make my law firm the industry standard in these areas of the law. If I can assist as many people as possible to reach their goals of financial freedom through representation and education I will feel as though I have accomplished something in my life. John R. Vermillion works as an estate planning and probate attorney and is licensed to practice in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. A native Texan, he graduated from Texas Christian University in 1974 receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. In 1977, he received his Juris Doctor degree from the Louisiana State University Law School. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Vermillion worked extensively as a corporate attorney in the fields of oil and gas exploration and production, real estate development, finance and estate planning. He served for many years as corporate counsel and Vice President of a private independent oil and gas company. Mr. Vermillion is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
