About Ashley
Ashley Baird received her law degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2006. While in law school, Ashley was a member of the Law Review Journal. Prior to law school, Ashley graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
After graduation from law school, Ashley entered private practice and joined the law offices of Dempsey and Kingsland, P.C. and began representing families and patients injured by medical negligence. Ashley has developed experience with litigation in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, motor vehicular accidents, insurance bad faith, daycare abuse, and vaccine litigation before the United States Federal Court of Claims in Washington, D.C.
She is now an associate with Dollar Burns & Becker, L.C. where she continues her work in the areas of personal injury litigation, nursing home litigation, wrongful death, and daycare abuse cases.
Ashley is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas. She has appeared in both state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas, the Supreme Court of Missouri, and the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri.
She is a member of the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and has written many amicus briefs on behalf of that organization. Ashley is also a published author in the Missouri Bar Journal as well as the Journal of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Ashley is a member of the Kansas City Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, and Association for Women Lawyers for Greater Kansas City.
