Hector Salinas was born and raised in Edinburg, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and received an Honorable Discharge following his tenure. After graduating from UT-RGV, he attended Texas Wesleyan Law School in Fort Worth, Texas, which is now Texas A&M Law School. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2005. His hobbies include writing novels, raising his bull terrier, and sports. He’s also written a screenplay, which eventually became a feature film and premiered on HBO in 2016.
