When people ask what type of law I practice, I tell them that I sue insurance companies. And much of my practice does involve suing insurance companies on behalf of individuals and businesses who have had their insurance claims denied, delayed, or underpaid. Another part of my job is helping clients understand their insurance policies, setting out their options for fighting the claim decision, and explaining what they can expect to happen during and at the end of the fight with the insurance company. This involves applying the insurance law to the unique facts and policy language for each policyholder. I also draw on the experiences Iโve had with similar cases Iโve encountered over my career as an insurance attorney. Since becoming a lawyer, I have always practiced in the area of insurance law. Throughout that time, Iโve provided clients with legal advice about insurance policy interpretation, decisions about insurance claims, and Iโve helped clients determine whether insurance claim decisions were right or wrong. Many of my cases are referred to me by other attorneys that have litigated against me or come to me with their own insurance questions. I represent clients during the claim process and during any litigation that arises from the insurance claim.

Hi, Iโm Clifford Wells and thank you for taking the time to check out my attorney bio. For the last 2 decades, Iโve worked as a personal injury lawyer pursuing claims on behalf of my clients in Pinellas, FL. Iโm highly experienced with automobile collisions, tractor trailer accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrians who have been hit by a car, workplace accidents, faulty or defective products, negligent maintenance or repairs of property (premises liability), and slip and fall claims. Out of approximately 118,784 attorneys in Florida, only 1,037 of us have been Certified as an expert by the Florida Bar for Civil Trial. These are the only attorneys that can use โB.C.S.โ after their name, which stands for Board Certified Specialist. I have extensive experience fighting insurance companies for failing to adequately reimburse their insureds and refusing to pay injury claims for injured people in cases ranging from injury, wrongful death, uninsured/underinsured motorist, homeowners insurance, and other property damage claims. I attend ongoing training and education as well as spend countless hours studying and perfecting negotiation and trial strategies. I am genuinely interested in the intricacies of negotiations and trial presentation. Although people sometimes make fun of me for it, I actually read books about trial technique and strategy while Iโm on vacation.

Katelynn Gibbons is the eldest daughter of partner, E. Lynn Gibbons. In elementary school, Katie routinely reminded her Mom of the annual, "Take Your Daughters To Work Day". Some of her fondest childhood memories are of traveling to courthouses across the state at Lynnโs side through the years. Witnessing her mother's passion for justice and compassion for other people firsthand at a young age has had a lasting effect on her. She first started working at Jorgensen Gibbons, P.A. over the summer in middle school when she wasn't playing basketball. Katie graduated from St. Petersburg Catholic High School in 2012 and she earned a B.A. degree, Magna Cum Laude, in psychology from the University of South Florida in 2014. Between college and law school, she worked as the workersโ compensation paralegal at the firm. Since day one, she has treated the firm's clients as if they were family. In the Fall of 2015, she followed in her Mom's footsteps and started law school at Stetson University College of Law - a few blocks away from the firm. The proximity allowed her to continue working part-time at JG while she was in law school. She graduated a semester early and earned her J.D. from Stetson in December of 2017. Today, Katie works as an Associate Attorney for Jorgensen Gibbons, P.A., handling personal injury, workers' compensation, and social security disability cases. In her free time she enjoys boating, fishing, and traveling to watch her baby brother, Dillan, play football for the Florida State Seminoles.
