Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I recently had a case where a medical provider was being audited by an insurance company for the amount of care they provided in an auto accident case and medical payment coverage was being withheld from them on a special investigation. By intervening with the special investigator and cooperating fully with them, I was able to substantiate the care and disarm the situation for the benefit of the client and the clinic and settle the case at full value. A good lawyer knows how to manage these types of crises and is not intimidated by unique situations - that skill only comes with experience and I have 27 years of it.

How did you build a successful practice?

I built my practice on my own. I did not come from a personal injury background out of law school. As a CPA and attorney I was trained in sophisticated tax and bankruptcy litigation. I had a client whose fiance was in a horrible car accident and she asked for my assistance. I studied the process and represented her to a favorable outcome and learned that I enjoyed and excelled at personal injury practice. I thereafter built relationships with medical providers and other attorneys and developed my practice by building solid relationships with referral sources.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

are the main components of a trustworthy attorney. I have 27 years of experience, have never had an ethics discipline or sanction, and as I have a small practice clients deal with me directly and I am always available personally to them and their needs.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Having professional respectful relations with defense attorneys and the local insurance adjuster community is crucial to the effectiveness I bring to my personal injury clients.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

I just need to understand your personal injury and accident, what happened, where and when, the other parties involved, the role of insurance, and what you want to accomplish.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Experience, ethics and accessibility are the hallmarks of my personal injury law office. I suspect my strengths in this regard are what caused the Cherry Creek and North Denver News publications to name me the best personal injury attorney in Denver, Colorado.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Helping people deal with personal injuries and to recover their damages, so they can move on with their lives after a traumatic loss.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I am a father, family man, enjoy playing and watching sports and golf, being with friends and family, watching all the great shows on TV movies and reading.
