Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I had the pleasure of representing one of the officers charged in the unfortunate death of Freddie Gray here in Baltimore. I pride myself, and our office, on pursuing justice, no matter who the defendant is. The State must meet their burden of proof, and they must be held accountable in that aspect. It is our job, as defense lawyers, to defend the constitution against government infringement.

How did you build a successful practice?

Hard work. Seriously, that is the single biggest thing. Obviously it is cliché, but clichés are there for a reason, they are based in reality. Our attorneys work day and night on every case, assuring our clients are satisfied with the outcomes of their cases.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

This may sound simple, but honesty. That is the single biggest thing I would look for in an attorney. Of course there will be clients who want to hear what they want to hear, but I have always found that being up front with clients about their situation has a lasting, positive effect.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is vital to the success of any case. While one would certainly hope that every judge in every jurisdiction has the knowledge and fortitude to be a jurist, that is not always the case. Knowing when and where to try a case is a significant factor in obtaining positive outcomes.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

We offer both free phone consultations and free in-person consultations at our office. It is important to put clients at ease with our first interaction, whether that is via a phone call or on the 24th floor of our office.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

The most important information we hope to gain in our initial interview is an understanding of the case itself, and to get an idea of what type of person our potential client is; what's his or her story?
