It is our mission to provide quality legal services at affordable rates.

Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

One of my client's was charged with possession of marijuana where police came to her home for a welfare check and illegally searched the home. After taking over the case from a different lawyer who had lost the motion to suppress the evidence found in her home, I took the case to trial and won. The client was able to go home to her kids and maintain her good name.

How did you build a successful practice?

By having great client communication, being prepared for trial, providing clients with all the facts, options and possible outcomes for their case, and standing beside my clients in their hour of need.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

A lawyer should be knowledgeable about your type of case, experienced, honest, and affordable.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is essential to be successful in court, knowing the judges and what the judge prefers to have before him/her when making his ruling, knowing the prosecutor and how they try cases or give plea deals makes trial prep and negotiations easier and more efficient. The worst thing a lawyer can do is to walk into court blind of the local rules and procedures.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

During a phone consultation I can provide a client with an overview of the law that applies to their situation, possible outcomes of the case, possible defense strategies and suggestions for pre-trial prep such as anger management classes, rehab, etc.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

During a free consultation I want to know the facts of the case (meaning what happened before the arrest, why you were arrested, and what, if anything happened after the arrest). I want to get to know my potential client and their background, including any prior criminal or traffic offenses and about their family, job, etc. It's important to me to get to know my clients right from the start.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

1) I'm affordable, I'm not going to charge a client thousands of dollars unnecessarily. 2) Communication - the biggest complaint about lawyers is that they don't return phone calls, I return all calls/emails within 24 hours, but usually within 2-4 business hours.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Knowing at the conclusion of a case, I did everything I could to ensure my client was treated fairly, that their story was heard and that they got the best resolution possible.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I love to read romance novels and SyFy mysteries (think Dean Koontz and Steven King). I play co-ed kickball with my husband and am an avid cheerleader for my kids.

Are you involved in your community?

As a family we are involved in several community service events, including providing sack lunches for the homeless, working with Habitat for Humanity and walking for Breast Cancer awareness. The law firm supports the arts Dramatic Arts Magnet Program at Tri-Cities High School.
