Brian graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and attended Golden Gate University School of Law on a full merit scholarship, where he won the school Appellate Advocacy Competition and received awards for Best Written Brief and Best Oral Advocate. Brian graduated with honors with a certificate of specialization in litigation and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for the most outstanding student in the field of litigation.
A recipient of the Judge Lee Baxter Fellowship in Litigation, Brian taught advanced litigation courses at Golden Gate University, and became associated with the firm in 1997 after spending one year in private practice handling criminal cases and employment disputes.
