About Bruce

Bruce D. Pringle was born, raised and educated in Colorado. After graduating cum laude with a bachelor's of arts degree, Pringle attended the University of Colorado School of Law. He served as managing editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and graduated first in his class in 1969.

After graduating from law school Judge Pringle worked as a law clerk. Not long after, he went into private practice, where he was heavily involved in litigation. Judge Pringle worked in the areas of product liability, wrongful death, corporate, construction, legal malpractice, employment, libel and slander, antitrust, securities fraud, eminent domain, commercial law, and white-collar criminal defense.

Judge Pringle left private practice in 1991, when he was appointed as a United States magistrate judge by the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.

Judge Pringle also has taught extensively at numerous seminars over the past twenty years. He is the author of Colorado Law Annotated, which is a seven-volume treatise on Colorado law published by Bancroft-Whitney Corporation.
