Born in Nebraska, Attorney Carrie M. Wilcox moved to Arizona and ultimately became the founding partner of the Law Office of Carrie M. Wilcox. Ms. Wilcox graduated from the University of Arizona in 1992 with a B.S. degree in both Political Science and English. Ms. Wilcox graduated from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law in 1995, graduating in the top 1/3 of her class. In 2006, Ms. Wilcox was selected as one of only ten Phoenix Attorneys named as an Arizona Leading Lawyer by the Phoenix Business Journal. R.J. Suzuki is licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona and the United States District Court. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Suzuki is a member of Los Abogados, the Arizona Hispanic Bar Association, and the State Bar of Arizona. He was a former Trustee on the Maricopa County Bar Foundation. Upon graduation from the University of Arizona College of Law, in 2000, Mr. Suzuki was selected to serve as law clerk to the Honorable Howard Fell of the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County, who was assigned to the court's criminal calendar. Mr. Suzuki next accepted appointment as prosecutor in the Office of the Maricopa County Attorneys Office. During the next three years, as Deputy Maricopa County Attorney, Mr. Suzuki investigated and litigated felony matters as part of the Major Crimes Gang and Repeat Offender Program Bureau. From the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Mr. Suzuki accepted a position as Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Arizona. In his nearly two years prosecuting federal crimes, Mr. Suzuki was responsible for the resolution of numerous federal felony and misdemeanor cases in Tucson and Phoenix. Matt has successfully represented clients in numerous bench and jury trials over the past eight years. I am passionate about helping people formulate plans to reach their goals. Since 1999, I have been involved in that process with hundreds of clients as a professional in the financial services industry. In 2011, I enrolled at Arizona Summit Law School. It wasn’t always easy balancing family and school while maintaining a growing financial services company. But with the help of my wife and others, along with some divine intervention, I graduated with honors (summa cum laude) in 2014. The rest is history. Now I spend my time helping individuals and families create and maintain solid estate plans – truly an important work! On a more personal note: Before becoming an attorney, I grew up in Scottsdale, went to Horizon High School, and then joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Following my active duty training, I went on a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later graduated from Arizona State University – go Sun Devils! Along the way I moved to Mesa where I met my sweetheart – Jennifer. We were married in 1999 and have since been blessed with 6 children (4 boys & 2 girls)!
