Brett has worked as a civil litigator for the entirety of his career. He has served clients in the areas of personal injury, commercial, estate, and real property litigation. He currently puts that expertise to work helping clients with their personal injury and civil litigation claims. Brett is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, and a member of the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington. Having been born and raised in the Yakima Valley, Brett knows the unique challenges that his clients face. After graduating from West Valley High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Western Washington University. Brett then attended the University of Idaho School of Law, where he was selected as a member of the D. Craig Lewis Trial Team, giving him the opportunity to compete in local and regional mock trial competitions. Brett graduated from law school with pro bono honors, having completed over eighty hours of pro bono service as a law student. Brett has a passion for helping clients who have been wronged. He has defended indigent persons charged with crimes in Yakima County, and has provided pro bono legal services to low-income clients through the local non-profit, Yakima County Volunteer Attorney Services. Brett has also previously served as the Vice-President for the Yakima County Volunteer Attorney Services as well as a board member for the Foundation for Washington State Courts where he previously helped fund a security initiative for the Yakima County Courthouse. Brett has also previously served as Treasurer of the Yakima County Bar Association. In his spare time, Brett enjoys golfing, fly fishing, distance running, and spending time with his wife, Maggie, and their sons William and Scott.
