About Andrew

He is a former business owner and also holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia.
 
Andrew has served on the boards of the New Path Foundation, the Lung Association, Simcoe County Trails, and the MacLaren (2004, 2005), and was a member of the Member of the Advisory Committee on Judicial Appointments for the Province of Ontario (2012-2015). Andrew currently serves on the boards of the Temagami Lakes Association and the Barrie Country Club. Andrew is also a proud Rotarian with the Kempenfelt Rotary Club.
 
Andrew’s corporate/commercial practice focuses on share and asset purchase and sale transactions, corporate reorganizations, drafting shareholder agreements, commercial leases, agency agreements, distribution agreements, master services contracts and licensing agreements. Andrew also frequently acts for franchisees, charities, and not-for-profits.
 
Andrew attended the University of British Columbia, obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering) in 1993, and a Bachelor of Laws and Master’s Degree in Business in 2002. Andrew was the only student at UBC to complete the joint LLB/MBA program in 2002. Andrew was called to the Bar in 2003.
 
Andrew believes strongly in community service and has coached amateur teams and volunteered with many community-based organizations and charities. Currently, Andrew is a member of the Federal Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee for Ontario (East and North). Andrew and his wife Krista are proud parents to their two children, Chloe (’08) and Marco (’09). When not in the office, Andrew is usually found with his family, coaching his children’s soccer team and tending to his large organic vegetable garden. In the spring Andrew likes to make maple syrup, which has become a family tradition.
