About Dan

I joined the Aitken Robertson team in summer 2017 while attending Queen’s University Faculty of Law. Before Queen’s, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in History from Trent University. I graduated on the President’s and Dean’s Honour Roll and received three awards for my academic research projects.

I graduated from Queen’s in 2018 with my Juris Doctor degree. While at Queen’s, I won several awards – including for highest standing in Criminal Law, Legal Skills, Torts, and Advanced Legal Research.

After Queen’s, I articled under Richard Aitken – an experienced defence counsel with a focus on DUI law. Since being called to the Ontario Bar, my practice has focused exclusively on criminal defence with an emphasis on DUI and Charter law. I understand that criminal charges can seem foreign and stressful to many of my clients and I will always take the extra time to explain the process to you.

As a Peterborough native, I am excited and thankful to be able to practice in his hometown. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family on Weslemkoon Lake. I love everything outdoors – including fishing, ATVing, snowmobiling, and spending time on the water. I am also passionate about cooking and am always trying new recipes and techniques.

Call my office any time to schedule a free consultation – I’d love to meet you and discuss your matter.

We offer a free 30-minute consultation in regards to your Ontario impaired driving, DUI or other criminal charges. Call today to learn more about my fee structure.
