About Peter
Peter is a former partner from Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1990. He specializes in commercial and insurance litigation as well as professional and product liability.
Peter has appeared as counsel before all levels of courts in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia as well as Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, in proceedings involving contractual and commercial disputes, shareholder’s disputes, product liability claims, directors and officers liability claims, municipal liability matters, real estate disputes, environmental claims, allegations of professional negligence and other civil and regulatory matters.
In addition, Peter has extensive experience in public inquiries. He was counsel to the Ontario Government for the Walkerton Inquiry concerning the contamination of the water supply in Walkerton, Ontario, and issues concerning the safety of Ontario’s drinking water. He was counsel to the Cornwall Police Service and the Cornwall Police Services Board for the Cornwall Public Inquiry concerning the institutional response of the justice system and other public institutions in relation to allegations of historical sexual abuse of young people in the Cornwall area.
