About Catherine
Catherine has over 25 years of legal experience. In the early portion of her career, she worked in Southern California and focused on civil litigation involving mainly contract disputes, construction defect claims, and toxic tort claims. In the last fifteen years, she has focused her practice in the Probate and Family Law areas, related real estate issues, and some estate planning.
In the Probate area, in addition to probating wills and handling wills contests, Catherine handles trust administration issues and trust litigation, guardianships, and conservatorships. In the Family Law arena, she handles both dissolution proceedings and custody proceedings.
Catherine also has experience in the residential real estate industry and has taught both middle school and high school in the Fresno area. Prior to attending law school she interned for Congressman Tony Coelho and worked for the National Governors Association in one of its subsidiary organizations in Washington, D.C.
Catherine has volunteered for numerous organizations in the Fresno area including 3 stints as a School Site Council Member and 2 terms on the Fresno Unified School District Bond Oversight Committee. She also served as a Board member for the Infant of Prague Adoption Service for 3 years and on the Board of Fig Garden Swim and Racquet Club for 3 years, including 1 year as President. She is a member of the Fresno Rotary Club.
Catherine is married to Eric Amador, who is also a lawyer. They have 3 adult children. She enjoys traveling to the East Coast, particularly New Hampshire, whenever her busy life allows it.
