About Catherine

Caroline Forbes was born in San Francisco and raised in Montecito. She attended Santa Catalina School for Girls and then received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts at the University of California at Santa Barbara. She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) at California State University at Stanislaus, with an emphasis on public child welfare/child protection, and graduated with a perfect grade point average. She later earned licensure and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She worked for ten years in Child Protective Services, including Adoptions. Caroline graduated from Monterey College of Law in 2007 and passed the Bar examination in 2008, all while working full time as a social worker. Caroline served as court appointed counsel for all dependent children of the Juvenile Court in San Benito county and is currently a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for court dependents in Santa Clara County. The primary focus of her law practice is family law. Caroline practices in divorce, child custody and employment law.
