Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Making a difference is working tirelessly, to ensure that injured victims, frequently ignored by insurance companies, are fairly and adequately compensated for their past and future pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost income. Over the last year alone, we have won multiple six figure jury verdicts for injured victims in the Bronx County, Queens County, Nassau County, Dutchess County and at a pre-trial mediation in the Bronx Supreme Court last month, the insurance company decided to settle for almost twenty times their original offer, rather than face a jury trial.

How did you build a successful practice?

My firm has built a successful practice by insisting on a client centered approach, smart /hard work and non-stop improvement. We recognize the danger in resting on our laurels, and constantly seek to expand our knowledge base, in order to better serve our clients. Regular Continuing Legal Education, Seminars, Webinars, and of course regular jury trials, keep us current and ready to continue our zealous advocacy for our clients.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for a lawyer who has the passion to advocate on their behalf and with a proven track record of pre-trial and trial success. The typical injured victim is no match for the big money insurance companies, who are the "real defendants" in most negligence cases. It has been our experience that the only language insurance companies understand is the prospect of facing a jury of the injured victim's peers, who readily see through the charade of a defense often put up by insurance companies.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is crucial to success. Knowing the local courts, the personnel and even adversaries, only enhances service to our clients. Involvement in the local bar associations and events, helps foster relationships, often called upon when needed in the service of our clients.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

We provide sufficient information over the phone, to enable a potential client make a full and informed decision on whether to meet one of our lawyers in person and hire our firm.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

For a free phone consultation, it is always helpful if there is an incident report or narrative, medical records, notarized witness statements with contact information, photographs or video recordings.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Lawyers in our community are a hardworking bunch. However, the enormous demand on time and resources required to take cases all the way to a jury, means that so many seriously injured victims are often under compensated or in many cases, not compensated at all.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Most rewarding is achieving results which ensure that victims suffering from life changing injuries, caused by an insured defendant, are fairly and adequately compensated.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I'm an avid latin and Miles era jazz head. Also a lifelong, and some may say ""suffering"" Arsenal football club fan.

Are you involved in your community?

In additional to year round pro-bono services, summer months in New York are filled with numerous Community events, to which my firm generously donates time and money, in support of worthy causes.
