With more than a quarter-of-a-century of legal service, handling both general and complex litigation in a diverse caseload (ranging from Antitrust to Workers’ Compensation), I have recovered benefits and damages for my clients that exceed $18 million —largely in the form of Confidential Settlements (and in addition to numerous cases I’ve handled on an hourly or pro bono basis).

Over the years, I’ve analyzed the probable legal challenges of innumerable cases brought to my attention, and advised my clients accordingly. After years of associate work, I built and maintained a successful solo law practice handling general and complex civil litigation, trial work and settlements, appeals, administrative actions, Child and Family Investigations, and child-focused domestic relations litigation. And, in my appellate and related practice, I have secured twenty-one reported civil case opinions, in addition to numerous administrative appeal cases I brought before the Colorado Industrial Claim Appeals Office.

Practice Area: Insurance Date: Feb 23, 2010 Outcome: $3,500,000 entered as judgment for the Plaintiff Description: A $3.5 million judgment on an insurance bad faith case was awarded by a jury, because the insurer failed to act properly in investigating and paying for a loss following a serious fire at a feed mill. Calvert v. Roadway Express, Inc.; Old Republic Insurance Company; and Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. Practice Area: Workers Compensation Date: Oct 10, 2006 Outcome: $775,996.38 entered as judgments for the Plaintiff Description: $599,000 in compensatory damages, $102,101.06 in interest, and $38,073.12 in costs were entered as judgments, because Respondents in a Workers' Compensation claim failed to act in good faith or deal fairly with an injured worker.
