About Chris
Chris focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate and land conservation. He has represented owners, purchasers and developers in all aspects of complex purchase and sale, real estate finance and development transactions in a variety of sectors, including office, multifamily, industrial, agricultural and residential property. Chris also represents landlords and tenants in a range of commercial leasing transactions, including office, retail and industrial leases of all sizes.
In addition to general real estate matters, Chris provides transactional and tax counsel to landowners and land trusts for conservation easement projects in Colorado and across the West. Chris has completed numerous high-profile conservation projects, and has represented landowners before the IRS and the Colorado Department of Revenue. He is a frequent speaker and published author on land conservation topics. Chris currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Bluff Lake Nature Center, a privately owned wildlife preserve and environmental education center in Denver.
Chris received his B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Environmental Studies and Philosophy, magna cum laude) and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court (D. Colo.) and the United States Tax Court. Chris enjoys cooking, travelling and getting outdoors with his family in his spare time.
