About Clinton

Clinton was born in Sandersville, Georgia and grew up in the West Tampa section of Tampa, Florida. He earned a B.S. degree in finance from the University of South Florida and worked for State Farm Insurance, prior to receiving his MBA from the Stetson University College of Business and his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. Clinton practiced with the Tampa offices of Annis, Mitchell, Cockey, Edwards and Roehn, P.A. and Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP, before joining Gray Robinson. Clinton recently returned to Gray Robinson after 18 months in the Office of the City Attorney for the City of Tampa.

Clinton's career as an insurance professional, provides a wealth of knowledge for his litigation practice in the areas of insurance, commercial, business and general litigation. He also holds an AIC designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

During his tenure with the City of Tampa he gained valuable experience in the government law by litigating land use and tort matters, drafting and presenting resolutions and executive orders, representing the Tampa Fire Rescue, Risk Management Department, Women and Minority Business Development and the Small Business Enterprise. He also negotiated and drafted various inter-local agreements on behalf of the City with other government agencies and private entities. Clinton also represented the City of Tampa in administrative hearings concerning compliance with the City of Tampa's Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Ordinance.

While in law school, he served as a research assistant to the Stetson Writing Clinic and as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Magistrate Mary S. Scriven of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
