Cristy attended Marian High School in Omaha, Nebraska, and then went to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated with her B. S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 1993 and she graduated from Creighton University School of Law, J.D. cum laude, in 1997, and was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 1997.
