STEPHEN V. SOMMERS (licensed in Virginia 1999, Texas (1997), Maryland (1996)), was born at Camp Pendleton, CA, October 4, 1956 and educated at Troy State University (B.S., Summa Cum Laude, 1981), Golden Gate University (M.A., 1986) and American University (Juris Doctor, 1995). Mr. Sommers retired from the United States Air Force at the rank of Major after 22 years flying fighter aircraft. Mr. Sommers has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Fourth Circuit and the Tenth Circuit and all Virginia Courts. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Aviation Section of the Texas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Lawyer-Pilot Bar Association, as well as each state’s Bar Association he is licensed in. Mr. Sommers has extensive experience in all types of trial litigation and specializes in personal injury, criminal defense, medical malpractice, product liability, aviation crash litigation, as well as general civil litigation in state and federal courts. Aubrey Brown is a member of the firm’s litigation section, and was named a shareholder in 2018. Prior to joining Parker, Pollard, Wilton & Peaden, P.C., Aubrey was a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Currently, Mr. Esposito handles significant motor vehicle/tractor-trailer accidents, professional negligence cases, traumatic brain injury cases, defective product and defective pharmaceutical cases, as well as other catastrophic loss cases. Mr. Esposito is married to the former Suzanne Daley. They have two sons, ages 20 and 24. They reside in Henrico County, Virginia, where he is actively involved in youth recreational sports and civic associations and boards. He is a frequent speaker at local area schools advocating greater exposure of the law and courts to young people.

Originally from Bedford County, Matthew joined the law firm in 2018 as a full-time associate, following his graduation from the Liberty University School of Law. Matthew has a significant amount of experience as a trusted Personal Injury attorney. Prior to law school, Matthew worked as a defense litigation paralegal from 2011-2015, specializing in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice. During this time, Matthew was elected as Vice President for the Roanoke Valley Paralegal Association for two subsequent annual terms before applying to law school. In addition, Matthew dedicated his personal time to serving the community as a Big Brother for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America; tutoring at a local youth center; serving as a member of the Roanoke Kiwanis Club; and working as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Roanoke CASA program. While in law school, Matthew was an active member of Liberty University School of Law’s Trial Team, placing 2nd and 3rd, respectively, at the regional and national trial team competitions for the American Bar Association in 2017. Matthew also furthered his experience by interning at multiple law firms representing Plaintiffs in personal injury cases, First Amendment retaliation cases, and Worker’s Compensation cases.
