As a Realtor I have worked with a number of law firms. Cowan Gates has always provided excellent service to my clients handling their closings. All of the attorneys and paralegals have been responsive and professional. I highly recommend Cowan Gates.
My consultation with real estate attorney Mr DiStanislao was extremely disappointing and opposite of what partner Mr. Rennie told me to expect. I had an appointment with partner Mr. Scott but got shuffled to associate DiStanislao. After emailing material for the meeting over a week ahead, he was totally unprepared to discuss my situation at our meeting. During the meeting he presented nothing but old simple solutions. I do not recommend using this firm for real estate matters.
I was referred to Cowan Gates by my tax person. They were backed up so I had to wait a month to get an appointment. No one's fault. When I showed up for my appointment, they told me it was the wrong day. I'm pretty meticulous about scheduling appointments but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I showed up today for my appointment and the assistant told me she called me and left a message on my cell that there was a conflict of interest. I never received a voicemail and she had not called my number. A disappointing waste of time. Very poor service from the beginning is indicative of what's to come.
During the the selling of our house we had some unique issues where we needed legal guidance. With out hesitation Health Gates was always there to guide us through some tricky situations. You always hope things will go perfectly smooth buying and selling but they usually don’t. With out Health I don’t know if we would have gotten through it all! He is an expert in his field and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
My neighbor and I used Heath Gates to work on closing an easement on our property that was not needed. After a few weeks of work and a payment upfront. He wrote us a letter. Trying to contact Mr. Gates to move forward, I called several times to speak whit Mr. Gates he told me he would call me back. This call never happened. I called again and the receptionist told me he would call me back and gave me a time and day. This call did not happen as well. I tried several more times with the same results absolutely no reply. This took place over a 2 week period of time. I would not recommend this Law Firm. Your time does not matter to them. Empty promises is all you will get.
