About Cynthia
Cynthia E. Banks joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin as a litigation associate in 1999, and became a shareholder in 2004. Having practiced for several years doing almost exclusively automobile law, Cynthia now concentrates her practice on retail liability, civil rights, municipal liability, education law and products liability. Her extensive experience has positioned her to represent one of the largest manufacturers and service providers of elevator companies. Cynthia has also represented several municipalities and school districts in all phases of administrative claims and litigation surrounding disputes over appropriate education, race, and age discrimination.
Cynthia is a 1992 graduate of Santa Clara University where she obtained her B.A. in English and a minor in Theater. She continued her studies at Santa Clara University School of Law and obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1995. During her legal studies, Cynthia participated in the Oxford University Summer Law Program in Oxford, England, studying Public International Law.
Prior to joining Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, Cynthia practiced for an insurance defense firm in the Bay Area, California, for four years where her practice focused on motor vehicle and general liability.
