D. Todd Rush is a partner in the law firm of Lutz, Cornetet, Meyer & Rush, and his practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate, and corporate/business law.
Mr. Rush's estate planning practice involves the representation of clients on a wide range of matters, including issues such as probate avoidance, tax planning, Medicaid planning, creditor protection, creating distribution plans for minor children and/or disabled individuals, and drafting documents necessary to properly implement the particular estate plan. In his probate practice, Mr. Rush routinely represents and counsels executors, administrators, trustees, and other fiduciaries on the administration of both probate and non-probate estates, including the preparation of estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, payment of debts of the estate, and the ultimate distribution of assets.
Mr. Rush's corporate/business law practice is focused on business formation, structuring, restructuring, succession planning, acquisitions of businesses, sales of businesses, and other contractual matters.
Mr. Rush received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ohio University (B.B.A., cum laude, 1990) with a double major in finance and marketing. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law (J.D., 1997) where he graduated in the top fifteen percent of his law school class.
Mr. Rush is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, Butler County Bar Association, and Cincinnati Estate Planning Council. He is licensed to practice law in all Ohio and Kentucky courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
