Alton C Todd is a Texas native and has lived in the Galveston/Houston areas since 1971. Alton grew up in the small central Texas town of Hamilton about 70 miles west of Waco and graduated in 1964. He then received his undergraduate degree from North Texas State University (now UNT) while working full-time on a freight dock. He graduated in 1968 with a wife, twin boys, and a daughter on the way. Despite working full-time to support his family, Alton was admitted to Southern Methodist University Law School where he earned a spot on the Southwestern Law Journal in his first year. Alton worked during the summer on a gunite crew building swimming pools while at SMU Law and graduated in the spring of 1971, now with three kids in tow and another on the way. Upon graduating, Alton accepted an offer with the prestigious Mills Shirley law firm on Galveston Island. He moved his family to the island, and his love affair with Galveston began. After four wonderful years, Alton moved to Alvin to join a plaintiff’s law firm, Wellborn, Britt, and Brown where he quickly made partner the next year. This firm eventually became Todd & Haygood in 1986. In 2000, The Law Firm of Alton C. He has called this law office home for the last 22 years. In search of acquiring more courtroom experience, he joined a high volume workers' compensation firm in Decatur, Georgia, where he successfully represented hundreds of injured workers throughout Georgia. Jeff ultimately returned to Texas and was most recently associated with Greer, Herz & Adams of Galveston, where from 2003-2007, he practiced with some of the most highly skilled and regarded attorneys in Galveston County. Attorney Josh Mintz is a native Houstonian who grew up around the law, becoming the 7th lawyer in his family when obtaining his J.D. from U.C. Hastings College of the Law (San Francisco) in 2003. Since then, Josh has developed a rare mix of expertise as both a lawyer and businessperson in a wide variety of professional organizations, including the California firm Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, the Am Law 100 international law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, and the Beaumont, TX based firm Waldman Smallwood. He supplemented this experience with several years managing multi-million dollar business segments for retailers UncommonGoods and Design Within Reach, and the media company behind Dwell magazine. After spending much of his childhood in Southwest Houston, Josh moved to Kingwood in 1990 and later graduated from Kingwood High School in 1996. He spent his first half of college at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) as part of the LSA Honors Program, before transferring to the University of Texas (Austin) and graduating with a B.A. in 2000. After several years in New York City, Josh gladly returned home to Houston in 2014 where he now lives with his wife, Dr. Emily Mintz, and their three children.
