About Daniel
Daniel DeLay is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Liquor Licensing groups. He generally represents clients in a broad range of litigation and arbitration matters, with a particular focus on the defense of licensed healthcare professionals in malpractice cases and disciplinary matters, commercial disputes, and employment matters. He also assists many clients in the hospitality industry, where he regularly assists clients with their liquor licensing needs. His exceptional critical thinking ability allows him to assist clients in finding effective solutions for complex legal issues. Mr. DeLay has experience in all stages of litigation including trial, motions practice, depositions, and written discovery. Mr. DeLay was recently recognized by Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” in Commercial Litigation for 2023.
While attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Mr. DeLay clerked at the firm’s Denver office. During his tenure at the University of Denver, he participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic representing indigent clients in housing and protective order issues. Mr. DeLay also had the honor to intern for the Honorable Judge David Richman of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Prior to attending law school, he was a Criminal Defense Investigator for the Colorado State Public Defender. In this position, he investigated a wide range of cases, and managed a felony case load of over 70-cases.
Mr. DeLay is a Colorado native, growing up in Conifer. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, mountain biking, and watching the Denver Broncos.
