About Danielle

Ms. Rolfes is a partner at Ivins, Phillips & Barker and has been with the firm since 2002.  Her practice focuses on general corporate income taxation, with an emphasis on international and tax accounting issues. Her work involves tax planning, providing consultation on specific problems, international structuring transactions, the design and adoption of various types of accounting methods and the deduction for domestic production activities.

Ms. Rolfes writes and lectures frequently in her field. Her publications include The Domestic Production Activities Deduction: Opportunities, Pitfalls, & Ambiguities for Domestic Manufacturers, a two-part series published in the July 11, 2005, and July 27, 2005 issues of the Tax Management Memorandum, and The Domestic Production Activities Deduction: Demystifying the International Tax Aspects, 34 Tax Management International Journal 411, all co-authored with Alan Granwell. Ms. Rolfes has participated on expert panels hosted by the American Bar Association, the D.C. Bar, the Federal Bar Association, and BNA Tax Management.

A certified public accountant, Ms. Rolfes is a gold medal winner for achieving the highest score on the CPA examination in the State of Ohio. From 1997 to 1999, Ms. Rolfes was an accountant at Procter & Gamble, where she worked full-time on the implementation of the cost accounting modules of SAP, an enterprise-wide software system.

Ms. Rolfes graduated, with honors, from Harvard Law School in 2002 and earned her LL.M. in Taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005.
