About Darquita
Darquita L. Maggard is an Oklahoma native, born and raised in Norman. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in 1989. She received her law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1992.
Darquita became officially affiliated with Ratheal & Associates, P.C., as “Of Counsel” in 2009, and joined the firm as a shareholder in 2012. She practices in the areas of contested family law (divorce, paternity, and modifications), guardianships, collaborative law, estate planning and bankruptcy.
Darquita is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. She is also a member of the Cleveland County and Oklahoma County Bar Associations. She serves on the Trial Advocacy Institute subcommittee (Family Law Section). She is a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Christian Legal Society. She is a member of both the Oklahoma and International Associations of Collaborative Professionals.
Darquita has served on the Board of Directors of Trinity Legal Clinic of Oklahoma, Inc., for approximately five years. Trinity Legal Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides legal services to low-income individuals who need legal assistance.
Darquita and her husband are members of Zion’s Hill International church, where she serves as a Deacon. When she is not practicing law, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and other family members.
