Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I took over a case for a client that had been going on for over a year, and I was quickly able to obtain results on behalf of the client by changing the strategy. The prior attorney had been a "shark" trying to "win" on every issue for the client, often creating conflict where none existed or insisting upon things that the client did not really want. I focused on my client's top 3 priorities, got what the client wanted on those 3 points, and then negotiated a fair and reasonable settlement as to the other issues.
How did you build a successful practice?
By caring about my clients and by being available to them.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Honesty, Efficiency, and Availability. You want your lawyer to be your partner in your case. You want them to care about your goals, needs and wants. You want them to be available to you. And, maybe most importantly, you want them to be efficient, as this helps limit the financial, mental and emotional impact the legal matter has in your life.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
It is important, but not as important as knowing your client's unique circumstances.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
My compassion and my efficiency. I truly care about my clients. I get to know them personally, as it is crucial to understand a person's motivations and goals in order to represent them. Sometimes the best deal to one person is not what another person would think is the best deal. I am also extremely efficient and responsive. And I work to craft creative solutions to my client's problems.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
When I client is not only satisfied with the outcome of their case but feels like I truly cared about them, as a person.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Golfing, Boating, Baseball
Are you involved in your community?
Yes. I am involved in my church, serving in a leadership role, and am actively engaged in coaching youth sports. My family is also licensed by the State of New Jersey as a Resource Home/Foster Family.
