About David
In 2002, David joined MDWC&G in the Casualty Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on motor vehicle liability, premises liability, professional liability, and workers' compensation defense. David is an experienced trial attorney whose clients include, among others, real estate professionals. In addition, he has handled over 200 motor vehicle cases.
His recent successful representations include a defense verdict in a motor vehicle accident claim where liability was admitted and plaintiff was seeking in excess of $400,000 based on a diminished earning capacity. By demonstrating that plaintiff's alleged injuries were not caused by the accident, he prevailed before a jury for the defendant . He also recently successfully defended a blasting company on a strict liability claim in which plaintiff homeowners alleged significant structural damage to their home. In that case, he demonstrated through the use of expert testimony that the nature of the client's blasting work could not have caused the damage alleged.
David received his BA degree, cum laude, from Lycoming College in 1989, and his JD degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of law in 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Clinton W. Smith, Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas, after which he joined a general practice firm in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
In 1999 David was the recipient of the Lycoming Law Association Equal Access to Justice Award in recognition by North Penn Legal Services of his acceptance of pro bono referrals. He is admitted to practice in the Pennsylvania state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
