Attorney Aaron A. Koonce was born in Hammond, Indiana and has been a life-long resident of Lake County, Indiana. Aaron grew up in unincorporated Crown Point, attended Lake Central High School and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2003. After working a few short years in the Criminal Division of the Lake County Clerk’s Office, Aaron joined the Army and served as a paratrooper in the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne). While serving, Aaron earned a Master of Science in International Relations from Troy University. After separating from the Army, Aaron worked for the Jesse Brown and Hines VA hospitals. Aaron left the VA for The John Marshall Law School in 2011 where he earned his Juris Doctor degree and co-founded the Law School’s chapter of Student Veterans of America. Aaron has served the last three years as a contract Felony Public Defender and private attorney focusing on state and federal criminal defense, traffic law, criminal record expungement, various areas of civil law and Veterans advocacy. Aaron also works closely with the Lake County Veterans Treatment Court where he serves as a Veteran Mentor. Aaron is a dedicated legal advocate and would be honored to serve your legal needs.

Mr. Martin graduated from Purdue University in 2005 with dual degrees in Economics and Political Science. In 2008, Mr. Martin received a Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Mr. Martin is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana and the Indiana Supreme Court of Indiana. Mr. Martin’s practice is focused primarily on Family Law, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense and Real Estate. Mr. Martin enjoys baseball, football and golf.
