About Don
Don was born in Roseburg, Oregon in 1951. After moving to southern California, he attended San Diego State University graduating cum laude in 1975. He attended California Western School of Law graduating in the top 25th percentile of his class in 1979.
Don's bar admissions include:
- Supreme Court of California, 1981
- United States District Court — Southern District of California, 1982
- United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, 1987
- Supreme Court of the United States, 1999
Don is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). To gain membership in ABOTA, attorneys must have tried a minimum of twenty cases before a jury, and pass a rigorous character screening. Less than 1% of attorneys nationwide are members of ABOTA.
During his 27 years of practicing law, Don has represented hundreds of injured persons and while doing so has earned the respect of his clients, fellow members of the legal community, and judges who all agree he has maintained a very high level of legal ability and ethics.
