About Donald

Don currently focuses his practice on the defense of claims made and suits brought against public entities, municipal authorities and local governments. As well, Don has developed experience in a wide array of casualty areas such as motor vehicle and transportation litigation, premises liability, product liability, and liquor liability to name a few.

Don graduated from Penn State in 1996 with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Business. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and achieved his J.D. in 1999. After graduation, Don he served as law clerk to the Honorable Michael L. Krancer at the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board.

Don entered private practice with a regional defense firm located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 2002 and focused on defense litigation in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home liability, and major MVA. He is also very active outside of the law office in the community; specifically, he serves as a Committeeman for the Dauphin County Republican Committee, in Harrisburg, 5th Ward. Don has the honor of serving as President of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, the Harrisburg Chapter, and is a board member of the Midtown Square Action Council.

Significant Representative Matters:

  • Successfully settled a workplace OSHA accident where the demand was $7.5 million by developing liability defenses supported by two experts and testing the same with a mock jury program.

  • Successfully assisted in settling a $4 million UIM claim made by a bicyclist by retrieving critical electronic data from the cyclist's bike that plaintiff's counsel did not know was available.

  • Successfully assisted in eliminating all claims a third party plaintiff asserted against a liquor licensee to only the duty to not serve a person who is visibly intoxicated. Claims such as failing to protect the public from the foreseeable dangers of an intoxicated person and failing to prevent an intoxicated person from driving were dismissed through Preliminary Objections.
