After graduation, Alan clerked for the Honorable J. Derham Cole, Judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of South Carolina.
Alan is a native of Irmo, South Carolina. He is married to Amy Brandstadter Lazenby, and they have three young children.

Cases
Attorney for the Appellant in a defamation case in which said Appellant appealed the trial court's decision to grant summary judgement in favor of the Defendant. The case invovled a former employer of Tietex who asserts that he was fired not for performance issues as Tietex asserts but concerns that he had with the safety of his workspace as well as age discrimination. On Appeal, the Court Affirmed the original decision.
